This
quiet hideaway is as authentically Middle Eastern as they come in
Hong Kong, from the tiled walls to the falafel and shawarma packed
menu. The younger sibling of the ever popular Habibi, Habibi Cafe
is a laid back place, with friendly, ethnically-garbed staff. The
food rarely disappoints: try the salad with fried goat's cheese or
the creamy hummus. The sea bass, meanwhile, arrives on a sizzling
platter and is melt-in-your-mouth stuff, while the chicken shawarma
is an intoxicating mix of spices, poultry and vegetables. The drinks
menu is extensive (with specialties like mint tea) and the chocolate
mousse laced with cinnamon a superior pleasure. With reasonable prices
to boot, this is one of Hong Kong's gem.
